Three Countries Giro road bike tour

For anyone seeking the ultimate racing adventure, the ‘Stelvio Engadin’ section of the Three Countries Giro presents an ideal challenge. Covering 168 km and climbing 3,300 metres, this tour also crosses borders into three different countries. Austria, Italy, Switzerland with some impressive Alpine passes. The tour starts in Nauders, and from there, the route heads over the Reschen Pass to Prad in Italy. Here begins the renowned ascent to the Stelvio Pass, featuring 48 hairpin bends and a climb of 1,844 metres – an essential challenge for any determined cyclist. From the summit, the route continues across the Umbrail Pass, descending into Switzerland’s scenic Val Müstair. The Ofen Pass is the final climb before the route leads back into Austria through the picturesque Engadin.
